Album Description:
Crashing Out: Season 2 is a deeply personal return to music after loss, reflection, and healing. Following a long hiatus after the passing of my grandmother, this album documents the emotional journey of grief, instability, love, and perseverance—each track acting as a chapter in that process.
The album opens with “Sue Anna,” a tribute to my grandmother, honoring both her life and the musical foundation she instilled in me from birth. That spirit continues in “Praise,” a gospel-inspired reflection rooted in the music she loved most. Together, these tracks serve as a heartfelt dedication to her legacy and the influence she will always have on my sound and soul.
With “Wild West,” the album shifts tone, capturing the chaos and loss of control that followed her passing—when life began to feel unpredictable and unsteady. “All My Time” marks a moment of realization: the need to heal and move forward, while feeling trapped by responsibilities that leave little room for rest or recovery.
Tracks 5 through 9 form a tender and intimate section of the album, honoring the pets who have been constant sources of comfort and companionship. “Stripe” celebrates my cat, while “Blaze” and “Stewie” memorialize my two oldest guinea pigs, both gone but never forgotten. “Pumpkin” and “Mocca” bring warmth and life back into the story, honoring the guinea pigs still by my side and reminding me of the love that remains.
The album closes with “Life Is A Race,” a declaration of resilience and comeback—about pushing through adversity, refusing to give up, and continuing forward despite the weight of the past. The bonus track, “Running Away,” serves as a final reflection, capturing the lingering urge to escape even as progress is being made.
Crashing Out: Season 2 is not just an album—it’s a healing process set to sound, documenting grief, love, remembrance, and the determination to keep going.
